Martin Bohen was born in Kilkenny (Ireland) in about 1820. He was convicted of feloniously killing a sheep in 1836 and transported to NSW as a convict (as was his mother, brother and sister). Granted a ticket of leave in 1846, he married Elizabeth Seage in 1851 at Bathurst and they had a large family. He died at Bunglegumbie (near Dubbo) in 1891.
